The Press Club of Long Island was launched in 1974 and has been served by a number of presidents over the last 40-plus years. There have been 24 presidents in the Press Club’s history.

Only one person has served during two separate tenures (Stuart Vincent), two people have served a four-year tenure in office (Chris Vaccaro and Carol Pack) and eight are members of the Long Island Journalism Hall of Fame (Karl Grossman, Bob Greene, Carolyn James, Scott Brinton, Bill Bleyer, Vicky Katz Whitaker, Carl Corry and Carol Park).
