The SPJ Region 1 Conference, which promises to be a wonderful event for both professional and student journalists, will be hosted by the Roger Williams University journalism program and SPJ student chapter along with Connecticut SPJ. It will be held April 21-22, 2023, at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The Friday, April 21, programming will include a selection of afternoon sessions in addition to an evening reception at the beautiful Roger Williams University Sailing Center. On Saturday, April 22, the conference will offer a full day of important journalism sessions, including a keynote speaker of high interest, and the announcement of the winners of the Mark of Excellence Awards.
