The Press Club of Long Island Board of Directors held its annual officer election last week and chose a new vice president and secretary.
Cecilia Dowd, an on-air reporter at Newsday, was elected vice president. Dowd has been a member of the board since 2020.
Erin Stephenson, a producer for Newsday Media Group, was elected secretary. Stephenson has been a member of the board since 2021.
Brendan O’Reilly, the deputy managing editor for The Express News Group, will serve another year as president, and Jeffrey Bessen, the deputy editor at Richner Communications, will serve another year as treasurer.
Rounding out the board are Diana De Rosa, David North, Chris Vaccaro, Bill Bleyer and J.D. Allen.
The board currently has one vacancy.
