Description: The Press Club of Long Island will host a virtual discussion on the challenges confronted by reporters during times of conflict. The panel will discuss covering demonstrations on reopening the economy after the coronavirus and Black Lives Matter protests, at which police and demonstrators have, at times, assaulted reporters.
The panel was inspired by Darius Radzius, a PCLI member who was attacked while covering a protest in Brooklyn May 31. See our statement condemning violence against reporters here.
Date: July 9, 2020
Time: 7 p.m.
