The Press Club of Long Island hosted its annual Holiday Party on Dec. 5 at Watermill Caterers in Smithtown, and what a night it was — full of food, friendship and holiday cheer.
Roughly 60 turned out for the annual event, including a contingent from the Freeport Fire Department, who came — as they do each year — to collect a bundle of toys for children in need. Party guests were asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to the party.
This year, the Press Club partnered with Jaci Clement, CEO and director of the nonprofit Fair Media Council, for the party. Thank you, Jaci!
Each year, we are happy that so many students attend, including from Stony Brook University, SUNY Old Westbury and Hofstra University, as well as this year from Patchogue-Medford High School. The party serves as a fundraiser for scholarships for deserving high school and college journalism students.
From all of us on the Press Club of Long Island Board, Happy Holidays!!
