Covering the Trump Campaign and White House

The Press Club of Long Island hosted a panel on “Covering the Trump Campaign and White House,” on March 29, 2018.

The panel included:

  • Emily Ngo, Newsday reporter who covered the first year of the Trump  administration
  • James Klurfeld, Stony Brook University journalism professor who teaches “Press and the Presidency,” is former Newsday White House reporter, editorial page editor, Washington Bureau Chief  and covered national security as well as presidential campaigns
  • Lawrence Levy, executive dean of the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University, former senior editorial writer and political columnist for Newsday and cohost of the PBS show “Face-Off”
  • Celeste Katz has written about Donald Trump for Newsweek, the New York Daily News and the Boston Globe. She appears as a host on Sirius XM radio and co-hosted “Special Relationship,” a 2016 election podcast from Mic and The Economist which Poynter Institute readers voted as among the best political journalism of the cycle
