ARE YOU READY TO MENTOR AND INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF JOURNALISTS?
For the past nine years, the School of Journalism at Stony Brook University has enrolled some of the most talented high school journalists from Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn in a summer boot camp called the Robert W. Greene Summer Institute for High School Journalists.
Now organizers want to go one step further and match the students as they return to their high schools with professional mentors. The goals of the program are to provide students with a greater understanding of potential careers, provide constructive feedback on their work and inspire them to continue on their path through college and beyond.
Stony Brook is seeking committed mentors who can take these young journalists under their wing. To learn more, and to apply to the mentor program, click here!
