As you may have seen, PCLI president John O’Connell has been firing off regular tweets from the SPJ Convention this week in Indianapolis. Follow his exploits on Twitter, Facebook or Twitpic.

“This is such an honor for the Press Club to be considered by the Society of Professional Journalists to be one of three Best Chapters of the Year in the country!” said John O’Connell, PCLI’s president.

With bad news about the media industry being spit out as fast as you can say “Tweet,” you might expect Michael Leary, managing editor of the bankrupt Philadelphia Inquirer, to have a pretty sullen view of the future of the news business.
Well, maybe a little. But let’s not throw in the towel just yet.
