The Press Club of Long Island was launched in 1974 and has been served by a number of presidents over the last 40-plus years. There have been 23 presidents in the Press Club’s history.

Only one person has served during two separate tenures (Stuart Vincent), one person had a four-year tenure in office (Carol Pack) and five are members of the Long Island Journalism Hall of Fame (Karl Grossman, Bob Greene, Carolyn James, Bill Bleyer and Vicky Katz Whitaker).
