PCLI to host socially distant social at historic Fort Hill Estate Aug. 22

Join the Press Club of Long Island on Aug. 22 for a socially distant summer social gathering at the historic Fort Hill Estate in Lloyd Harbor.

The event, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., is open to PCLI members and their guests. It will include a box lunch and tour of the 10-acre neo-Gothic William Matheson Estate. The Matheson Estate was built on Fort Franklin, the site of a British Revolutionary War fortification, and overlooks Cold Spring Harbor and Oyster Bay.

To assist PCLI with its food costs, a donation is required to attend: $5 for students above age 16, $10 for PCLI/SPJ members and $15 for nonmembers. (Nonmembers can sign up at SPJ.org to receive the discounted rate.)

Advanced registration required. Registration is limited in accordance with social-distancing guidelines issued by the State of New York. Masks will be required as necessary.
