PCLI extends Media Awards deadline has expired

PCLI-6-5-14-8876-DDeRosaPhotoThe deadline for the PCLI Media Awards has expired! Good luck to everyone this summer at the awards dinner.

The awards will presented at a dinner on June 4 at the Woodbury Country Club.

Journalists can enter submissions under the following divisions of categories: narrative, video, radio, visual, social media, student journalism, and special awards and scholarships. Each division includes categories organized by topic. There are nearly 100 categories.

The Special Awards and Scholarships division includes the awards for Long Island Journalism Hall of Fame nominations, Robert W. Greene Public Service Award, Phil Spahn Memorial Award, James Murphy Cub Reporter of the Year and the college and high school scholarship awards.

New to this year’s awards are the ability for high school journalism students to enter the student journalism categories, and the addition of “best Long Island news radio station”, an “interactive presentations” category for multimedia journalism and “best infographic” for visual journalism.
