Hofstra offers workshop on Covering Suburban Poverty

On Sept. 26-27, 2013, Hofstra is offering an all-expense-paid journalism workshop on Covering Suburban Poverty.

Thanks to a grant from the Poynter Institute and McCormick Foundation, the university will be bringing in leading national experts on suburban poverty, including social scientists, government leaders, and poverty reporters from NPR, PBS and elsewhere, to give practical tips and information to journalists trying to cover this growing crisis.

PCLI members are able to apply by going to www.coveringsuburbanpoverty.com.
