PCLI hosts internship panel at Stony Brook

The Press Club of Long Island hosted an internship panel discussion on Nov. 6 at Stony Brook University, in which intern advisors at Newsday, Patch, and News 12 Long Island offered tips on what it takes to land a journalism internship and make a lasting, positive impression.

Robert Freeman speaks to PCLI about FOI

Robert Freeman, the Executive Director of the NYS Committee on Open Government, gave a presentation hosted by the Press Club of Long Island Thursday. Email FOI requests accepted by agencies since 2006 by state law are a boon for reporters and the public, he said.
