The internship would be part-time with very flexible hours. We’re looking for someone to put in on average 15 hours per week.
PCLI is more than happy to sign off on any documentation for students to receive necessary college credit.

Intern responsibilities

  • Report directly to the president and corresponding secretary to fulfill club duties upon request.
  • Assist with media and community outreach
  • Must attend monthly PCLI board meeting and PCLI workshops when they are scheduled
  • Make calls, send emails, utilize social media and take part in marketing efforts to spread information and grow engagement for PCLI and its large membership base


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree candidate, preferably in public relations, journalism or communications.
  • Previous internship or news writing experience preferred.
  • Social media skills and previous experience with media/community outreach is a plus
  • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who can take direction and contribute ideas and the ability to work independently on projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Community development knowledge/experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of standard workplace technology.
