SBU hosting SPJ panel series

The Stony Brook University student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will be hosting a journalism panel series throughout the 2012-2013 school year.

Their first panel, dedicated to the topic of covering local news, will be held Monday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Student Activities Center auditorium on campus. It will include a variety of speakers, including Long Islander Editor-in-Chief Luann Dallojacono, NY1 Noticias Executive Editor Maritza Puello and author/journalism scholar Dan Reimold.

There will be an open Q&A session and a book signing for Mr. Reimold’s book, “Sex and the University.”
