The Press Club of Long Island will be hosting a panel discussion about journalism internships at LIU C.W. Post on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Students will have a chance to hear from industry experts about securing internships and achieving in those roles.

Ann Bernzweig

Ann Bernzweig: Currently the News 12 Long Island newsroom coordinator and Executive Assistant to Pat Dolan, President of News 12 Networks. In her role, Bernzweig is responsible for coordinating Mr. Dolan’s schedule and supporting the staff to further the success of the channel and contribute to the superior working environment. Bernzweig is also the internship coordinator for News 12 Long Island. She works with the Talent Acquisition group to review resumes, select and interview the best intern candidates and assign them to the appropriate departments at the station. She mentors the selected candidates to assure they get the most out of their time at News 12. Additionally, Bernzweig manages the Scholar Athlete Program and various employee morale events. She has worked for News 12 for 13 years. Prior to News 12, Bernzweig lived in California and attended the University of California while working for Raytheon for 18 years. Over the years she has had a broad range of experience in managing staffs in both manufacturing and engineering environments.

He is also a Director At-Large of the Society of Professional Journalists, the largest and most broad-based journalism organization in the country.
