Diana DeRosa named to PCLI board

Press Club of Long Island has announced the appointment of equestrian photojournalist Diana De Rosa to PCLI’s board.

“I am thrilled to join the board. This is a group of people who really care about the journalists of Long Island. When I saw how involved every board member is, it inspired me to want to be a part of this very proactive group,” said DeRosa, who has recorded equestrian history for over 30 years.

A language major in college, De Rosa went on to run a riding school, and then started an equine magazine called Horse World USA, where she was editor for 13 years.

She now owns Press Link of America, a public relations firm, and continues as a freelance writer and photographer, traveling throughout the United States and abroad.

De Rosa has covered every summer Olympic Games since 1988, and for eight years served as the road manager for actor Christopher Reeve, until his death in 2004.

At Press Link, De Rosa has worked on films with 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks.

De Rosa also co-hosted the annual Hampton Classic on the local Hamptons TV Station WVVH for 10 years.
