Bleyer rejoins SPJ membership committee

Some people can’t help but be helpful.

Bill Bleyer, former two-time SPJ regional director, former three-time PCLI prez, former executive vice president (who knows how many times?) and current treasurer … taking a breath … has rejoined SPJ’s national membership committee.

Bleyer, a Newsday reporter who covers maritime issues, parks and history, headed the membership committee in the early 90s as a national board member, and previously served as a committee member.

Bleyer said he will help assemble a package of good and bad membership techniques to share with SPJ chapters, among other initiatives.
